This UNIQUE SIIRT KILIM BLANKET was traditionally woven by local craftsman in the region of Siirt.It was made for Dowry and it is very unique.It was hand-woven with best,/higest quality ,organic undyed natural hand spun Angora Mohair wool.And after weaving, the wool was brushed to create a soft and warm fabric with a flowing texture.This Siirt Kilim Blanket is almost fur-like.It can be used at both sides.Front has long brushed hairs with elegant look and back side is flat like a kilim.So you can enjoy two different side with two different looks.It can be used as a throw over a sofa and bed or as a wall hanging,Prayer Mat,Yoga mat,or as a floor cover as a rug.Some pictures are showing the back side of the blanket kelim rug.Most Turkish doctors recommend Siirt Blankets to people who are suffering from back pain and joint problems.Nowadays, it has become a very rare fabric due to the decrease in craftsmen and the scarcity of Angora/Mohair Goat's Hair(Wool).All our Carpets and Kilims are ''One of a Kind''.It is a piece of an ''Art of Weaving''and Siirt blankets are ''Art of Creative Elegance'',too.It is strong enough to be used on a high-traffic area.
This beautiful Turkish Siirt Blanket Kilim Rug has just been professionally washed in Türkiye and for future cleaning and care instructions advised from a local weaver is hand washing to maintain the texture and use it for a long time.
When doing so, use olive oil or any natural soap or detergent for delicates and wool. Gently hand wash, apply fabric softener, rinse lightly, and spin dry by hand. Be careful not to wring it out too hard. Then, shape it and dry it in the shade in a well-ventilated place.

Do this about once a year. It may take a little effort, but if you take care of it like this, it can last for at least 40 to 50 years and several generations.You will grow attached to it if you take good care of it. We recommend storing it with a desiccant and insect repellent when not in use.This beautiful Tribal Blanket is ready to be used!
