This authentic Siirt Blanket was traditionally handwoven by local artisans in the historic region of Siirt, Türkiye. Originally woven as part of a bridal dowry, each piece carries generations of craftsmanship and cultural heritage.

It was woven in two panels / pieces and than stitched together in the middle. It is very rare to see Siirt Blankets in this unique large size.

It is made from brown Angora goat mohair, carefully woven and then brushed to create its signature soft, flowing texture. The front side features long, silky brushed fibers with an elegant, almost fur-like appearance, while the back remains flat like a traditional kilim — allowing you to enjoy two distinct looks in one piece.

Thanks to its natural undyed mohair fibers, the blanket displays warm, organic tones directly from high-quality Angora goats. No artificial dyes — just pure, natural beauty.

Care Instructions

To preserve its texture and longevity:

• Hand wash gently using olive oil soap or natural wool detergent
  
• Do not wring harshly
  
• Lightly rinse and reshape
  
• Dry flat in shade in a well-ventilated area
  
• It should be cleaned approximately once every five years

With proper care, this blanket can last 40–50 years — even generations.

Store in a dry place with natural moth protection when not in use for a very long time.
