Vintage Anatolian Kilim Rug – South East Anatolia

This authentic Vintage Anatolian Kilim was traditionally woven as part of a bridal dowry in region of South East Anatolia — an area known for its rich tribal weaving heritage. It was woven in four panels / pieces and than stitched together. It was used as a PERDE ( Curtain ) inside the tent / yurt to divide seperate rooms for privacy and also used as a wall hanging and door cover of the Tribal tent / yurt. Black and white woven  colors are undyed organic natural Goat's Hair from South East Anatolia. And the weaver girl added colorful textile pieces from her vintage clothes, because she makes her wishes with adding them and it is also believe that they bring good luck, happiness and protect the family as a protection.

Handwoven using time-honored flatweave techniques, this kilim features a beautifully aged surface with colorful vintage textiles that reflect its history and authenticity. Its harmonious color palette and geometric tribal motifs create depth, warmth, and quiet character.
